something's going on in sesame street

those funny americans are finally recognizing that child obesity is a big problem. first mcd started sellings salad and stuff (at least here in germany, but i think they do it in america too) and now my favourite furry friend the cookie monster starts eating vegetables and fruits. he even has a new song called "a cookie is a sometimes food", perhaps we should now call him "lesser cookie monster" or "sometimes cookie monster". however i doubt this step will be of success. i wonder when the german sesame street makers adopt the change. child obesity is starting to get bigger and fatter every year over here. but theres one special thing in the german sesame street the americans don't have: a fat (gay) wizard. if the sesame street wants to help educate children and lead them to a healthier life they should not put bad role models on screen. iirc in brazil they inform the children about hiv, which is in my opinion not a bad idea if the general audience would be above the age of 10 and not around 3-7.
