a place for nerds to express themselves
Got an old Tetris cartridge from ebay a couple of days ago. Now my thumps are hurting. :) This game is so damn addictive. Do you know those old arcades with the "winners dont do drugs"-screen? it should have said "winners dont play tetris" :)
For those of you who don't visit my cave frequently and therefor haven't had the chance to see my self-built lego case yet, i created a little gallery here. As you might have guessed its a mediabox and vdr (video disc recorder). It runs Freevo on top of Debian Woody.
I used to like watching TV, but its getting more and more annoying. and i'm not the only one who thinks like that. :) here are two quite funny examples: one, two. Entertainment has to be improved! This could be accomplished by complaining about every stupid show at www.programmbeschwerde.de or by giving out free dsl access so that everyone can download quality entertainment from japan or usa (only south park or simpson, everything else is even more stupid than the german crap). Did I already mention that South Park Season 8 Kicks Ass?!? You have to watch it! You can Download it here New episodes will be released in October. Those stupid americans do a break in the middle of the season. D'oh! Shame on you Comedy Central Executives!
A couple of days ago I wanted to revive my old GameBoy and play oldschool tetris again. I found the apparatus where it should be, but Tetris was gone. There only was some ugly blue cartridge in the GameBoy's slot. Yesterday I visited a friend who is also an Tetris-Addict like me and many others. I asked him if he still has his old handheld and perhaps Tetris. He found the hardware and some manuals. Of course he had the Tetris manual, too, like I do. Now it was getting weird. Two guys and two missing games. So, I searched ebay for tetris. And guess what i found... LOTS of offers! Is there some kind of secret organization thats stealing all Tetris games with the help of little gnomes (like the ones in that south park episode who stole underwear)?
